Im trying my hardest to locate any information about a

WILLIAM GRIFFITHS ROBERTS born approximately 1900 and died aged 59
My grandfather thinks he may have lived / passed in south wales.

He did marry and his wife is Ceridwen Elsbeth......... ( maiden surname unknown)

They have had 3 children David, Elsbeth and Ronald

I am completely lost. I have no other details on him.

If anyone can help I would be very grateful

That sounds right. My grandfather said that they were in South Wales somewhere and so that would match.........although Im not ruling out the possibility that the daughters details are also correct as I know there was an auntie Janet in North Wales too - in the Porthmadog area and I remember visiting her. Whether she is an actual auntie or not though remains to be found

Its such an unusual name that I thought it would be easier to trace ( I have had a scottish crockett which proved fun to research) but I seem to be getting confused with her now

Not many Elsbeth births ( on freebmd, and several probably too late to be considered) but Roberts name in Wales is a nightmare, and there are more Ceridwens than I would have thought lol.

Are you certain that the middle name is Griffiths rather than Griffith?

I asked my grandfather who is in his 80s now and he said Griffiths but he may be mistaken. I will try and find a marriage certificate fir a William Griffith Roberts

My grandfather is convinced he passed at age 59 and was born around 1900 so it seems feasable that 1898 one might be him

My grandfather is Ronald Roberts and he was born 13 March 1942. He has siblings Elsbeth and David and I think that David is born in 1940.

My grandfather married my grandmother HAZEL LAURA PAINTER (born 23 March 1942)

I have looked up wedding certificates and I can find a William roberts marrying a ceridwen Davies but in Lancashire. So I'm wondering if he brought her back to wales

I was only given his name this afternoon Catherine after months of trying to get it. I'm going to say he died in Wales because most of the family seem to have stayed here.

I believe her surname may have been Davies Catherine so I think this may be the right one. It is the only marriage I can find between a William Griffith Roberts and a Ceridwen Elizabeth........although I have been told its Elsbeth for years so I'm wondering if its got confused somewhere along the line.
