Hi, can anyone do a look up for me please. Her name is Martha McGeehan born 18/01/1911 Letterkenny Donegal . Her mother was Margaret McGeehan, i was told she married a William McDermid and it is on Martha's death cert that her mother was down as Margaret McDermid nee McGeehan. William McDermid died when Martha was 8 years old and i can't find a marriage on them. They later moved to Scotland where Margaret was using the name Cunningham so she either married again or was using a different name for some reason. I think they were in Scotland from about 1920 onwards. So confusing

She was born out of wedlock and then her surname was McDermid after her dad

Sorry no death cert as yet as I don't know what surname she had when she died. I was told she married a jimmy porter and lived in Auchterarder but still no record on that or just badly informed. I think she just changed her name when she felt like it or just got married a lot
