Can anyone find Samuel on the 1881 census ? Wondering when he came from Derbyshire to burnley and if he came alone. Also when Emily came from Cornwall to burnley. She was born in Cornwall and her maiden name was Kendall.
:-)

Thanks. So looks like the family came from Derbyshire between 1861 and 1871 ....wonder how long Emily had been in burnley. Can't find which church they married in ..would have to get certificate ..maybe a non conformist chapel if it went through registrar . :-)

Well on checking I found that James William Kendall was maybe born out of wedlock as he had mother's maiden name Kendall....so maybe Emily,s child with father unknown.. maybe even Samuels child before they could marry ? :-S
