Find Ancestors

My Great Grandparent .......I can't find info; any further on than 1930's. I imagine John may have had another family in later life perhaps, but his details are non existent. On his marriage certificate to my Grandmother he had John West as first names.

Thank you to the people who have responded to my Post re John Girvan. He had a middle forename West....eg John West Girvan and married Audrey Dorothy Hallsworth in 1919...in Derbyshire. He has a son Wilfred born the same year 1919 and also had another son Alan with Audrey six years later, who was put up for adoption, with a couple from Liverpool.
(The John Girvan who was born in 1899 and was a pharmacist is not the same person). Kind regards Pat Girvan

2 trees on Ancestry have him born Liverpool 1898 and 1 relates to the 1911 census posted where his Father is a Chemist and Druggist. Not saying they are correct. Apart from the marriage to Audrey and the 2 children there is no further info.

Possible his Father was the Chemist I don't know......Johns' son who was adopted was taken back to Liverpool and adopted by a couple nearby Scotland Road in Liverpool.
The dates and information given re Audrey Hallsworths' parents names and her marriage to John are all correct. John was named as a Journeyman for occupation. I am his Grandaughter and wonder what became of him, (his and Audreys' marriage must have been dissolved) as she re-married again later on.

Just a Journeyman or journeyman and a trade ? Who were the witnesses, it sometimes helps. Are you getting the b 1898 from the age on the Marriage certificate?
