can, t find anything on Mary Carey's father and on her mother Catherine or Kate Denny on what you have for me

If you're sure Catherine / Kate Denny was your mother-in-law's Mum, then you should buy the Carey / Denny marriage certificate. That will give Thomas's age, occupation and his father's name (if known) and occupation. It may then be possible to find the correct Carey family on census records.

Can't see Thomas and Catherine on the 1939 register at the moment. Do you know when and where they died please?
