Perhaps his birth wasn't registered. It wasn't a legal requirement at that time. I'm not seeing a possible entry on the indexes on freebmd |

tree on family search says Frederick born 1842 so the one you mention could not have been baptised in 1841 |

Malyon, the tree on Familysearch may have taken his year of birth as calculated from his age given on census records. If he was born November 1841, he would show as 9 years old on the 1851 census as he would not yet have had his tenth birthday. |
