Probate for Ivy Grace, to fit in with will query this year, surely:

SHEPHERD IVY GRACE 16 September 2015 4691507 26 December 2014 (death date) Grant only Brighton

From the deceased estate notice that I linked to, she was living in a nursing home:
Seabrook Manor, Lavender Place, Ilford, Essex, IG1 2BJ. Domestic Cleaner (Retired)

Susan (or Susan's husband -

you mention having been left something in Ivy's Will.

That sounds as if it might be recently.
Is the 1994 death we found earlier the correct one?

re Ivy's DOB - I was going by the 1994 death found earlier - obviously not the correct one after all.

So Ivy not born 1920 if her dad Horace William/William Horace only born 1909.
he is registered as William Horace Turner

Sue has tree on ancestry? which doesn't mention anything about Ivy or surname Shepperd.

I cannot see any birth to fit the given info.

If the marriage for William Horace and Eleanor Queenie is correct, then they appear to have had six children.

I see Eleanor had a sister Grace, so maybe a family name.

Without further info (from marriage cert or date of birth) then can go no further with this enquiry.

does the paperwork you have received re being left something in Ivy's Will actually say she was William / Horace and Elena/Eleanor's daughter?

From the parish baptism register of St Mary's, Plaistow:

Ivy Grace Letts daughter of William & Grace was baptised on 16th April 1920 and born on 29th Feb 1920. Address was 14 Heist? Avenue and William was an engine driver..


The marriage of William and Grace at the same church after banns was on 20th December 1903.
William Edward Letts a bachelor age 23 a fireman, son of Edward Letts a clerk.
Grace Louisa Rumsey age 19 spinster, daughter of Clarence Rumsey a letter sorter.
Witnesses: Clarence Rumsey, Charles Carter

Ivy Grace Letts born 29th February 1920, from baptism, and Ivy Grace Shepherd born 29th February 1920 died in 1994 Brentwood, as previously mentioned.

I think Ivy G is this one and seems to be Susan's Aunt.

Ivy G Turner 1934 to Oswald 1883 and Emily H Beck. Ivy G married 1954 Charles Shepherd.

Susan daughter of Roy William Turner 1933-1982 son of Horace and Eleanor.

Please confirm if this is correct Susan.

It looks to me as though Ivy was your great grandad Oswalds daughter
