Hello Mavis
Did you get the info about the undertakers from Deceased on line? If so I can't see why they would not give me the details when I asked as it shows they have Bandon Hill records. They told me because of data protection, they cant supply even who they were. Perhaps I am doing this wrong, I am thinking to far ahead. I was hoping that if I had the detail, if the owner of the grave is not around anymore, I could contact the undertakers. Perhaps the owner may not have been who paid for the service. They could have contacted them on my behalf . I have posted the letter today to Bandon Hill. I will email them and ask about plot XF 286. I am always reading what the others have said and trying to understand the tree, as I said, I have never done this before so sometimes I don't understand.

yes the info came from burial records as you can read the original records

I believe that the plot Thomas and Louisa are buried in is for 4 burials
but as of yet there are only those 2 buried there.

Co-Op use to have a large burial service not sure if they do as much
these days

Hello Mavis

Bandon Hill say the grave is for two only. I sent a letter to the cemetery to pass on to the grave owner. They have since told me that the grave owner was Louisa. They have said that someone paid for the inscription on the stone after she passed and has there details. The Coop have told me that they have no records that far back, they only keep them for 7 years and then destroy them. Yesterday, I sent an email to the Salvation Army, they help to trace familys, still waiting for them to get back to me to say what they can do. I have also sent an email to a reporter at the Croydon Guardian today, I told him the full story, l hope he can do something. The Minister at Teddington has said I can buy the Wills of them both. It seems that if I do, it can take up to 4 weeks but that may give some names.
If I have no luck, it seems that I may have to leave a message a day before their birthdays, Mother and Fathers day and when they passed. The cemetery have said they would not remove any sealed jar at the grave.

Gerry,

If you wanted, you can order Wills online here:

https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/#calendar

They cost £10 and usually take around 10 days.
