Hi, I wondered if anyone could help. My grandmother Ellen Graham was born in 1934 and her parents were Fred Graham and Daisy West born about 1902. Daisy had a daughter called Joan West, then my grandmother was Ellen Graham and they had two other siblings Frank Graham and Phyllis Graham. |

Hmm interesting... As far as I'm concerned and the family, it was definitely Alice. I wonder if either she had a nickname or Daisy West changed a few details.. Odd! She was a very genuine, nice lady though so I can't imagine her lying about it or anything. |

Hi Jan, the area is Dorset/Hampshire sort of area, possibly Berkshire too maybe. And Daisy told her children the names of her parents Frank and Alice and just always known it to be that and the rest of the family agree that's how they know this - maybe they have the birth certificate, one of them but not sure who exactly. I'm a tad lost at the idea Alice was Ellen but no one ever said family history was easy ;) |
