AustinQ Thanks again. I know a lady who is going to get a shock tomorrow but also a big surprise that you have found so much about her family. All I have to do now is to put it on a family tree for her.
Very best wishes Barbara

Uh oh!!
Hull Daily Mail - Tuesday 09 November 1943
Charge of Bigamy At the Driffield Police Court on Monday, Thomas Edward James Lee of Stonehouse, Plymouth was charged with Bigamy... Mrs Lee said she married defendant on July 15 1936 at Plymouth. He was a reservist in the Royal Artillery and was called up in September 1939. They had one child. Defendant left her at the expiration of his leave in November 1941. She did not know where he was until aboout 2 or 3 months ago when she began proceedings against him. Mary Iona Hunneysett, East St. Kilham stated she was married to the defendant on December 26 1941 at Kilham Parsih Church. She had no knowledge that he was married and they lived as man and wife until she heard he had a wife. They had one child, a girl. The defendant who reserved his defence was committed for trial at York Assizes and was allowed legal aid and bail. -----------------------------
A later article states that he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment.
