Need some help please.

Can someone with access to Ancestry look to see if there is a listing for

THOMAS at 3 Hollinwood, Whixall, Whitchurch Shropshire.

I am trying to find information on a Bill & Betty Thomas. The lived at that address in the mid 70s.

They had sons Gerald & Geoffrey in the early 40s, but i cant find anything relating to these at all. Details very vague - think Geoffrey was born around 1942.

I don't know Betty's maiden name so drawing huge blanks

I don't see them. Any idea on ages for Bill (William) and Betty (Elizabeth), or who they are related to.

Do you think their children were born around Whitchurch?

Have you searched the 1939 register for the couple?

This is possibly the 1939 register for for the William that died in 1998- still listed as single in 1939, so not sure if he'd be correct:

Although this could be a possibility if Probate for Shropshire came under Cardiff?

But then he has a middle name of Haydn not Henry?

Just going by the W H Thomas in the phonebook doesn't really give us much.

The H could stand for anything. Without an approximate year of birth it's going to be difficult.

Thought if i could find a probate notice showing that address life would be easy.

I have just emailed Shropshire Family Research to ask them to look on the electoral roll for 1978 to see how Betty is listed on there - will have to wait up to five days for their response.

Gerald and Geoffrey remain elusive until i find Betty's maiden name.

you could try freebmd for a birth for either boys and then to see if you can match them to the same mmn

i do have service number for Geoffrey - not sure if there is anywhere i can input that into?
