I'm not really understanding?
Are you saying the 1911 is not correct?
I thought Amelia was Albert and Margaret's daughter, listed as Millie on the 1911. The reference to Walker on the 1939 register suggests she may have married a Mr Walker after 1939. There is this possible:
First name(s) AMELIA Last name JONES Marriage quarter 2 Marriage year 1940 Spouse: CHARLES WALKER District ISLINGTON County London Volume 1B Page 864 ---------------------------------------
This is who was listed at 3a Parkfield Street in 1925 electoral register:
Year: 1925 County or Borough: Islington Ward or Division/Constituency: Islington Street address: 3a PARKFIELD STREET
Jack Caton Amelia Fitzgerald Daniel Fitzgerald Joseph John Hodges Albert Archibald Jones Margaret Jones Louisa Sharpe.
------------------------------------------------
Same address 1926:
Jack Caton Amelia Fitzgerald Daniel Fitzgerald Joseph John Hodges Margaret Jones Louisa Sharpe ---------------------------------------------------
The same address in 1930:
Jack Caton Amelia Fitzgerald Daniel Fitzgerald Anne Rose Margaret Tobin Patrick Tobin

AG thank you, I do have a great nephew/niece called MORGAN!
Chris I do have Alberts Mother/Father and Grandfather, and father was George Haybe Jones born in Cambridgeshire, also marriage of GH Jones to Mary Wildman Nellie Jones (My MIL) cert says albert jones deceased on marriage Cert
Amelia Walker, was Mille Jones , so thanks for that.
it was Alberts death I could not find.and I did get to meet Margaret Caton/Jones/Tobin before she died . Thank every body for all your help, very grateful , as sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees! I now have to sort the tree, and hopefully get back to the jones before George Haynes Jones (father also called that) born in Cambridgeshire. We have found it amazing that the jones originated from Cambridgeshire, as my daughter now lives in the same area, so hope it gets interesting!

The names are quite common - lots of Norah M Joneses and Henry Joneses in marriage and death records.
The most fool-proof way to see if their parents were Albert and Margaret would be to buy copies of the birth certs.

Hi Chris I have previously traced the jones back to 1803, when they where in Cambridgeshire, and one george was born there 1829? ish They moved to London in the early 1830.s so I now have to re-do my tree as part has "got Lost" on GR. At that time I only followed the direct line, ie not included the brothers/sisters, hence the mention of tracing back to Cambs.
I think maybe I should do a separate tree for them. My next question to all you knowledgeable people is Can I get a blanc tree to fill in manually, anywhere on line??

Hi Chris i have the FMP info, as I was using that site as well at the time. As i said it was nearly 10 years ago when I first started!. I have some of the certificates, but not all . Fairly happy with the info I have from back then, but will pursue more I am still sorting through old paper work. i Need to get my filing in order?? Your input has been VERY helpful , I am still discovering ways and means of getting it.The jones are OH's family, and he does not remember too much about them. Sad that we don't think about our ancestor's until it's too late, and the ones who did know have passed on. I guess future generations will find it even more difficult, with all the re-marriages /half siblings etc. or will they even want to know?? as my daughter lives near March Cambs, and it would appear they may have even come from the same village, makes us more curious. The March library does have a genealogy society , so I may try to get there one day.

Re Albert being listed as deceased on Nellie's marriage cert, I agree that Jude's thought that maybe Albert and Margaret were estranged is a possibility.
That happened in my family. For years I searched for the death of my gr- grandfather, stated as deceased on his son's 1926 death cert. Eventually I found him alive and well until 1943, having remarried in 1928 after my gr-grandmother's death. They seem to have separated in approx. 1900, when she and their children moved to Scotland, while he remained in England.

AG and Chris Thanks for your help. I know that Albert was dead at Nellis (Ellen margaret) wedding, as she was my Mother in Law , and she took me to meet Margaret , and the buisness was a family one, which Eddie the youngest , took over, and I am in touch with Albert Jnr daughter, who lived in islington with the families. Chris , St Wendred Church?? Unfortunately i live some distance from Daughter , and don't get to see very often, and as we have not long come back from a visit, may be a while before i can make it again, but I am spurred on to get the info all in place, and then contact the Cambridge Society again

Sorry Chris, Wrong marriage! 12/7/1925 at the parish church Islington Ellen Margaret Jones married Charles arthur Johnson, both lived at 3a Parkfield Street, Witness E Johnson (Brother) and John Caton (uncle) Fathers Leopold Johnson. and Albert Jones (Deceased )
BTW Nellie born 25th December Died 5th November (new how to make an entrance and exit , HA !1
I guess the fact she was always called Nell, as was common at that time. (I have another one as well) Ie Amelia (Jones), being Millie , as we always called her Albert mystery solved?? But thanks again for your input

Won't be sure of anything Albert, until you have tried Death Certs.!, below Birth, must be him, otherwise why would he have Archibald on Electoral Roll. At least you can get accurate facts for 'Tree' then.

Pauline...I still think you need to think about the Hackney death in q4 1925. You don't know he was deceased by the time of nellie's wedding. It says so on the certificate and Margaret told you so...neither of which makes it the truth. It can't be the 1923 one Chris found because he was on the electoral roll in 1925. I believe electoral rolls were recorded in spring and autumn around the 20s.
I'd speculate on the death certificate to see if there is any clue

I wouldn't put too much credence on the electoral roll.
My OH's grandmother was a WW1 widow (he died 1917) and he remained on the next 2 electoral rolls until she remarried and moved address in 1920. She obviously didn't alter it, I don't know how it was run in those days so I don't know why it wasn't altered. It could have happened in this case so keep an open mind on both deaths.
