Hiya all, i've been putting together a 5 generation family tree, 2 parents, 4 grandparents, 8 great grandparents, 16 great great grandparents.
Finally just have two more people to find and its done.
I have this marriage license for my great grandparents-
Richard Henry Nelson who married Mary Frances Fleming in 1928 (3rd Nov).
Richard aged 33 Mary aged 34
The marriage license says they were married in Stockton-on-Tees in the County of Durham.
Richard's father is John Nelson Mary's father is James Fleming
What it doesn't reveal is the mothers of Richard & Mary. I'd like to know who Richard & Mary's mothers were to complete my 5 generation family tree.
I figure these would be listed on the birth certificates of Richard & Mary but these are proving elusive to locate.
Can you help?

On the search facility on this site there are two results for Mary F Fleming but this one seems the most likely-

Unfortunately when I clicked the purchase with credits it doesn't reveal who her mother was which probably means I will have to purchase her actual birth certificate from the GRO.

That cockermouth birth can't be right for Mary as it the wrong qtr of the year for reg
The 1939 reg give a her birth as Aug so she could be reg in the sept qtr or even the Dec qtr
You have six weeks to reg the birth so end of sept would be about 5 weeks or it could be she was reg in early October so that would be the Dec qtr
Born Aug she should show as 1894 birth on the census
This looks a possibility 1901 census England Wales & Scotland Census Transcription 27, Union Street, Kirkintilloch, Dunbartonshire, Scotland James Fleming Head - Male 41 1860 Coal Miner (Hewer) Bishopbriggs, Lanarkshire, Scotland Transcription Mary Fleming Wife - Female 36 1865 - Kirkintilloch, Dunbartonshire, Scotland Transcription David Fleming Son - Male 12 1889 Scholar Kirkintilloch, Dunbartonshire, Scotland Transcription William Fleming Son - Male 11 1890 Scholar Kirkintilloch, Dunbartonshire, Scotland Transcription Mary Fleming Daughter - Female 7 1894 Scholar Kirkintilloch, Dunbartonshire, Scotland Transcription Susan Fleming Daughter - Female 4 1897 Scholar Kirkintilloch, Dunbartonshire, Scotland Transcription James Fleming Son - Male 2 1899 - Kirkintilloch, Dunbartonshire, Scotland Transcription

I went ahead today and ordered my great grandfather Richard Henry Nelson's birth certificate today from the Stockton Registry and lol they asked me if I knew the mother's name! I explained that was the reason I was ordering the birth certificate in the first place :-)
The last one to track down is my great grandmother's birth certificate so that I can ascertain her maiden name too.
Thank you for all your help peeps :-)

Yes according to the 1939 register your Mary F was born 17th August- this means (as Shirley said) that the Cockermouth birth can't be yours as is was registered in the first quarter of the year.
A tree on Ancestry has her birth as 17 Aug 1894 • County Cork, Southern Ireland No idea if this is correct, but worth investigating
Do you have the marriage certificate for Mary Frances and Richard Nelson?
What was the address given for Mary and what was her father's occupation?
