I would like to thank all who have replied to this enquiry. It is a very strange mixed up group of people involved. At the time of birth of J JP Marshall in 1912 his Father appears to be 52 yrs old, and on census records although shown as married does not seem to live with wife. I will go through all the info sent and once again, many thanks.

I wondered about that birth too Alviegal.
I have 5 windows open on Ancestry and I have been going round and round in circles.
This is what I come up with.........."Possibly" the parents of Lily Frances Parish.
On the School Admission Record for Lily in 1888, it states her father is George.

Sorry, the date of birth for Gladys Kelsey was 7 Oct 1903 not 6 Oct so that looks to be her death even though it says 1902.
Looks like that birth you have found Alevigal is a very good contender and that Gladys was born in 1902; wonder whether the M is for Marshall?

On Lily Frances' Probate in 1962 it is granted to Gladys Beryl Kelsey married woman. There is a marriage in Kensington in 1938 of a Harold Kelsey to a Gladys Beryl Marshall.
Looking at the 1939 Register there is an entry in Kensington for a Harold Kelsey with a wife Gladys born 6 Oct 1903 (the image says 1903 but transcript says 1890)
Wonder whether there is a connection or just a coincidence.

BANKRUPTCY PROCEEDINGS
Still not providing cash and accounts that he had been asked for. He mentions an Aunt, Mrs Warwick for whom he was acting executor and from whom he had inherited some jewellery since his bankruptcy. He had pawned some of it and moved to Solihull to work for a firm of solicitors who knew all about his bankruptcy. The examination was adjourned again to a court before His Honour Sir Richard Harington, Bart., judge.

Here some of the accounts had been produced but they were judged to be useless as dates had not been added to some and others were without names and signatures.
He was ordered to file a dated cash account and provide other transactions but in answer to questions, he said that he had not at present arranged to go to Canada but he could not and should not comply with the order; it was impossible for him to do so. He was told he had to do it as the court had been very lenient with him.

Leicester Daily Mercury 28 January 1890
THE AFFAIRS OF MR R E MARSHALL
The public examination of Robert Edward Marshall of Nuneaton, formerly a solicitor practising at Nuneaton, Leicester, Hinckley and Atherstone, commenced yesterday before Mr CA Kirby, deputy registrar at the County Hall, Coventry. The debtor was represented by Mr RH Buckby with whom he was formerly in partnership. After a lengthy examination the Official Receiver asked the Deputy Registrar to adjourn the examination for a month and order the debtor to prepare a cash amount from Jan 1, 1888 showing the whole of his bill transactions and giving details as to the money received under the various wills in which he was interested. The examination was then adjourned until Feb 24, the order asked for being made.
Ahhh no we still don't know what happened to him !!
