Find Ancestors

It really looks like a case of somebody putting something stupid in a family tree and other people blindly clicking 'yes please!' when Ancestry says 'would you like to put all this bumph in your own tree?'

too bad the tree owner did not bother to say *where he got the info* about Maureen.

otherwise, if the only source for this Maureen's existence is the trees on Ancestry, the tree owner(s) will have to be the ones to explain her!

There appears to be no birth registration for Maureen so it could be that the tree(s) you are referring to, are wrong

You must have some other information on the family and if you post it here, we have a greater chance of helping you

marureen is from the info on the 2 trees, she is the daughter of my uncles sister mary conway

I've taken the liberty of also contacting the other tree owner who lists Maureen, on your behalf.

The Ancestry tree (I'm actually looking at the second of two that have the family) certainly has some things bang on right.

The findagrave entry for Maureen Storm shows that she was in the US Army Air Forces in WWII so she can probably be ruled out.

The deaths index in question is complete, so if the info about Maureen is accurate - born 1924, died 2007 in New York - she pretty much has to be one of those two ... assuming she had a social security number, which she would have needed to access any benefits.

FS shows a birth in Galway 1924 for a Maryanne Noone (Vol 4, Page 191), which is also not on Ancestry.

Perhaps Maureen is a corruption of Maryanne ??
