HOLDEN-PARKER
A wedding was solemnised by the Rev, M Holmes at Brimington Parish Church on Monday of Miss Annie Parker, daughter of Mr and Mrs P. Parker of 78 Victoria Street, New Brimington and Mr William H Holden, HMS Vernon, son of Mr W H Holden and the late Mrs Holden, 51 Herbert Street, Mile End, Portsmouth.
The bride, who was given away by her Brother-in-law Mr F Wheeldon, wore a dress of white georgette with veil and wreath of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of red carnations and fern The bridesmaids were Miss Emily Parker (sister of the bride)... and Mrs Ivy Parker (sister-in-law of the bride) who was dressed in blue georgette with hat and shoes to tone...Mr A. Collins was best man.

Mrs Ivy Elizabeth Parker (40), wife of Arthur Parker, 81 South Moor Road, Brimington Common, passed away on Wednesday after a prolonged illness. She was a native of Brimington Common. The interment takes place tomorrow (Saturday).
