I think you are right Beryl - I am still working on it.
There seem to be 2 Harriet's born around the same time and place, both with Father George - a cab driver, and possibly mother Elizabeth also.
As I said above, it does need more work .
Will get back to it later today and I have a totally free day tomorrow so hopefully, with everyone else's help, we will get it sorted.

I think there must be a mistake somewhere with Harriet/Marie of 2 Sun Row. On school admission records for Harriet it says she was born April 1900 and Marie 24/4/1900,they don't seem to be twins. The only birth record I can see is one for Harriet and none for a Marie are they one in the same person.
On baptism for Harriett Frances daughter of George and Elizabeth her birth date is 12/4/1900 so therefore id doesn't seem to be the same Harriet as the one from 2,Sun Row with dad George also.
I'm puzzled by this one,or have I missed something.

Thank you Joonie.
I had put the extra info on each of them above that list to show details of addresses, occupations of George etc., and to show which I had discounted and those children who I had found had died so wouldn't be worth looking for on 1901.
This was useful to link them together with that 1901 census, though I don't see where the address of '2 Sun St.' fits in, which I think is on Harriet's and Marie's ?
Perhaps you can help with that please?
Just off to pick up the grandchildren but will be back 'on the case' early evening.

OOOhhh _ I have just spent ALL morning on this but having come back to the thread I see that Chris has posted the 1901 census I have arrived at early this morning before I even startind looking !!
Anyway - that IS the correct one!
I was trying to see if there were any more children born between 1891 and 1901 so we might locate them so looked at baptisms :
Some of them I discounted but then had the following info:
Name: Thomas Malyon Record Type: Baptism Baptism Date: 12 Feb 1893 Father's name: George Malyon - Coachman Mother's name: Elizabeth Malyon Parish or Poor Law Union: Pentonville St Silas Borough: Islington Register Type: Parish Registers 2, Hale St., Central St Born Jan 8th '92

I then went on to look through school admissions and found the following: Harriet Malyon Age: 5 Birth Date: Apr 1900 School: Popham Road School Borough: Islington Admission Date: 1 May 1905 Parent: George Notes: Previously ANGLERS' GARDENS SCHOOL (see separate list) which opened 1875, renamed Popham Road School in 1895 (0262). Renamed Charles Lamb Primary School in 1949 Reference Number: LCC/EO/DIV03/POP/AD/005 Cancel address - 2 Sun Row - father George (NB - When she was baptised her address was 6 White Lion Buildings) **
Name: Thomas Malyon Age: 8 Birth Date: 9 Feb 1892 School: White Lion Street School Borough: Islington Admission Date: 12 Feb 1900 Parent: George Malyon Notes: Previously known as PENTON GROVE SCHOOL (see separate list) which opened 1875. Renamed White Lion Street School in 1899 Reference Number: LCC/EO/DIV03/WHI/AD/003 Cancel Address - 6 White Lion Buildings ** Previous School - Duncan Terrace ? Father George
Name: Edward Malyon Age: 5 Birth Date: 10 Nov 1894 School: Penton Grove School Borough: Islington Admission Date: 12 Feb 1900 Parent: George Notes: Penton Grove School opened 1875, renamed WHITE LION STREET SCHOOL (see separate list) in 1899 (0264) Reference Number: LCC/EO/DIV03/PEN/AD/001 Address - 6 White Lion Buildings. ** Father George

Renamed Charles Lamb Primary School in 1949 Reference Number: LCC/EO/DIV03/POP/AD/005 Cancel Address 2 Sun Row Father George
So many of them had connections to the address of 6 White Lion Buildings which I had difficulty finding but eventually came up with the 1901 which Chris has posted above !!!

EDIT the below is ruled out, with parents Thomas and Susan in Kent in 1891, but leaving him here to show ruled out

I do wonder about this Tom in the 1911 census
Name: Tom Malyon Age in 1911: 20 Estimated birth year: abt 1891 Relation to Head: Boarder Gender: Male > Birth Place: Kent Civil Parish: Cowley County/Island: Oxfordshire Country: England Street address: Junction Road Cowley Oxon Marital Status: Single Occupation: Painter Compositor [of course it says: Printer (Compositor)] Registration district: Headington
no Tom/Thomas Malyon birth was registered in Kent anytime near that except for a William Thomas Malyon in 1894
have you told us whether you know what his occupation was at any time in his life?

George and Elizabeth were living together in 1881
Name: George Malyon Age: 21 Estimated birth year: abt 1860 Relationship to Head: Head Spouse: Elizabeth Malyon Where born: Holloway, Middlesex, England Occupation: Cabman
Name: Elizabeth Malyon Age: 19 Estimated birth year: abt 1862 Relationship to Head: Wife Spouse: George Malyon Where born: St Lukes, Middlesex, England
Marital Status: Married
Civil Parish: St Luke County/Island: London Street address: 52 Lever St Registration district: Holborn George Malyon 21 Elizabeth Malyon 19
if the 1891 that malyon posted is the correct family, their eldest child Elizabeth was 9 years old in that census
Births Dec 1881 MALYON Elizabeth Holborn 1b 771
presumably they married when Elizabeth Johnson was of age
Marriages Dec 1883 JOHNSON Elizabeth Holborn 1b 1091 MALYON George Holborn 1b 1091
but instead of telling us
sons George ..Alf....Tom [Samuel Thomas that is?] ..daughters Elizabeth..Kate...Rose
could you give us the approx years of birth at least?
I have looked and looked in 1901 and not found them, unless George ran off to Yorkshire to be a fisherman and live with a Maria he was not married to, with sons George c1892 and Albert c1890 ...
the censuses can give valuable information about birth info
presumably
Births Mar 1884 Malyon George Holborn 1b 797 (married in Islington 1904?)
Births Sep 1886 Malyon Rose Holborn 1b 738 (married in Islington in 1904?)
Births Mar 1889 >> 'Kate' real name Malyon Catherine Holborn 1b 720 (married in Islington in 1908?)
Births Dec 1891 ?? Malyon Alfred William R Edmonton 3a 327
(Chris Ho the death record for Samuel Thomas is the second reply in this thread, although admittedly trying to follow it over the length of two monitors can be a trial!)

Looking at that medal card again it look as though the medals may have been restored to him around 9th December, 1924 ? - I find these quite hard to decipher but this looks like the case?
Perhaps this is when he came out of prison?

Re the medals Beryl.................
The address on that medal card mentioning the medals is the same as the one on an earlier post by Sylvia which you then confirmed was him ??
------------- Sylvia Report 19 Mar 2016 15:16
1939
Malyon Household (6 People) ?33 Sidmouth Street , St Pancras, London, England ..... --------------
It says that the medals were forfeited on the mentioned date which meant that he no longer had a right to them - I suppose it could be that although he no longer had a right to them they were not actually returned ??
Just to check - What is the Regimental number and detail on the medals you have - it should be marked around the outer side of the rim?

This medal card shows that his medals were forfeited 28/4/22
He was discharged from the army under para 392 (xii) which means that he had been sentenced to Penal Servitude.
British Army WWI Medal Rolls Index Cards, 1914-1920 View Image View Record Name Thomas Malyon Regiment or Corps Royal Fusiliers, Army Service Corps, 3 Royal Fusiliers, 3 Royal Fusiliers Regimental Number GS/69223, R/4/066334, 6455134, GS/134591
This would be connected I think with his conviction in 1922 to 3 years Penal servitude for Receiving and Larceny, having also commited various other offences in the past.
