yes that's the birth the only lead I have is that his birth certificate for albert states she was called fanny maria taylor and is a shop woman living in what I thought looked like a 94 but could be 19 chatham street but the birth was at 19 Stanford street Leicester which is about 4 miles from each other. I have no other information... |

yes it is ... I have ll the info on albert harry Andrew start taylor as he was brought up by the start family which is indicated through probate references and the fact he was named start before taylor on the birth cert... |

Formal adoption really only began in the 1920s. Is it possible that Fanny's son was brought up by a family member? Where is he in 1881? |

Maybe? The head of the household is a Draper and Fanny's occupation is listed as Assistant |

I have an address for 94 Chatham street Leicester in 1873 for a fanny Maria Taylor. I can't find her on the 1873 census by searching her name. She is a saleswoman in a shop and therefore could be down as this in the 1871 census. She is a single woman to the best of my knowledge at this time. |
