Find Ancestors

My very elusive grandmother (Irene) Nellie Ranyell travelled to Bombay in December 1915 as Nurse to the Begum of Manavadar and then she disappeared! I can't seem to find mention of her anywhere. She left two children in orphanages who never knew what happened - Harold Royston Ranyell (b. 1903) and Irene Lucie Lavinia Ranyell (b. 1906). If anyone can offer me a direction as to how to trace records of her in Bombay, I would be very grateful. Thanks. Juliet
