Please can someone see if they can find these two on the 1911 census. I think she was born about 1877. Not sure where she was born. She married John Watson in 1903 in Gainsborough, lincs.

Her maiden name I believe was Oakley and her father was David Oakley.

She went on to marry John William E Gray in 1924 in Lincolnshire

Jane are you certain that it was your Kate who went on the remarry in 1924???

The marriage you have for Kate A Watson and John W E Gray is mine. The information you have found certainly has put a spanner in the works.

This is why I thought she was mine. I got this information from a member of my family.

""John Willy" married his then housekeeper Kate Watson who brought with her to the marriage at least one son Harry Watson, she was commonly known as "wicked aunt kate" and reputedly made the children stand up at the tea table to eat their bread and butter which had been spread very thinly, she alegedly gave Dennis Gray a bad time."

John William E Gray was bit of a ladies man. He married Sarah Niles first, them Mary Carratt and then Kate A Watson. Although this family member I was talking to did suggest he married a fourth person. If he did I can't find that marriage.
