Don't know where the Alice came from?

As far as I can see he married Laura Ethel Chinnery as posted earlier.

So it's Laura - Rootsgatherer Said in a previous post tonight his spouse was Alice

I've had a quick look for Alice, but nothing coming up.

In 1881 census there is a step-son noted (James Deniord)

As this seems to be Caroline in 1871, stated as married but no marriage showing so I think it is more likey that James was the illegitimate son of Wiliam Deniord:-

I wouldn't worry to much about the spouse Alice. It was from a record on Ancestry but with nothing to back it up. And the birth year for Charles is well out. I should have given the source when I posted the info. Sorry for the confusion caused.

on 1st Feb 'Catherine' kindly gave me info on the 1871 census for Caroline Denoa (Deniord - Deniordoa) with her husband William and Sons William age 4 and James age 7 months. I have done the 1871 census but have not found them at all under any of the surnames. If someone can find them for me would you tell me how to find them, or at least give me the address that is noted. Thank you for reading.
