Hi all im trying to find any information on the Shaw family as unfortunately all the older generation as since passed on so i would not be able to ask them. im trying to find out about my great grandmother Betsy Shaw (Maiden name) she was born in 1884 in Shafton, South Yorkshire according to the 1901 census when she was a servant to William Midgley in Cold Heindley. Now from her marriage certificate i no her father was named Joseph Shaw but that is all i know, i have been on ancestry to try and find out things but just keep hitting a dead end. |

I have seen both the marriage record and the census entry for 1901 but im still having difficulty locating a birth record, it seems like it has vanished :) ive tried different variations of her name and searched with her dads name as well and still nothing, it might be one of those that want to stay hidden :-D |
