When I researched on here yesterday, I also came up with Walter William Grosvenor who married Hannah Elizabeth Perridge.
I wondered if Millie and Nancy were nicknames.....
Amelia aka Millie??
How certain are you Angelicness that Walter's middle name is "Frederick"?
Do you have any documentation?
There are no birth's, death's or marriage's registered for a Walter F Grosvenor in England or Wales.
How are you connected to this family?
Prickles.;o))

A tree on ancestry has this? There are 6 daughters but it's Walter Willam not Frederick.

Sorry for all the questions but any extra information may help us find the family definitely.

Hi everyone, Wow the information you have retrieved is amazing!.. I am currently in the process of gathering more info on Walter and wife/partner but the reason I think Walters middle name is Frederick is that his grandson my dad had the same middle name of Fredrick and it is a high possibility that Nellie and Millie are indeed nicknames. My dad never mentioned any boys just 6 girls of which clara ellen was his mother she had one child with Herbert Ernest Rumsey (my dad) michael fredrick rumsey. I am hoping to receive some more info soon . :-) :-) :-) :-)
thanks for all your time and effort x regards vanessa

Hello Vanessa, I'm afraid middle names don't always make sense! My own middle name has nothing at all to do with any family member - it relates to a singer both of my parents liked. Similarly, my father's middle name was that of a family friend.
It seems highly likely that the family with parents William Walter Grosvenor and Hannah Elizabeth Perridge is correct but in order to work back with absolute confidence and accuracy then it's going to be necessary to buy some certificates along the way.
Chris has already posted this marriage:
Marriages Sep 1929 -------------------------------------------------- Grosvenor Clara E Rumsey W.Ham 4a 605 Rumsey Herbert E Grosvenor W.Ham. 4A 60
If you order a copy of the certificate from GRO (costs £9.25) it should tell you Clara's father's name and his occupation (but do bear in mind that it mightn't show his middle name - it depends on the information given to the registrar).
