Haaa, good point. I do not know what it was with the Clarkes they all seem to chop and change their names. My grandfather had so many different names, Harry John, Jack, makes life very hard. Onslow was not a nice man from what i gather and when he died his wife Elizabeth burnt all his personal belongings hence we do not know much about him not even when he died. Have put in different names search to no avail.
John Power Clarke his father was a Bandmaster and a very nice man so maybe Onslows children preferred to put his name down or maybe Onslow called himself that name.
Onslow is a very unusual name and have found family recently descendants from Julius one of the sons from Onslow who have carried on with the name Onslow!!

The only thing is that her father is also named as John Power Clarke, the same as in Nellie's MC.
Why is Onslow Charles Henry not named as their father?
Maude's marriage has her father as Henry Onslow Clarke but her death has him as John Power Clarke?

Wow this gets better and better. I did know that Maud went to Canada but could find no connection to her sister Nellie going as well. I hope they stayed together when they were out there or lived near each other. You have certainly helped me with Nellie as it was just as if she had dissapeared.but it is nice to know they were in Canada together albiet with there own husbands.
