Somebody has posted a possible marriage for Richard & Annie on your other thread - and somebody else has spent time looking for info which you already have here. The reason people are asked to have only one thread per family is to stop this happening!

Yes she did Marry a man also called Richard Metcalfe but his profession was a licenced victualler (pub landlord)

Occupation for Richard Metcalfe who married Rosanna Iveson (Metcalfe) was farm labourer on their marriage cert.

That's right but doesn't it strike you that he Married Rosanna because she was an Inn-keeper, and when she died 2 years later his profession was a licensed victualler (pub landord). And when she died she was living in another county with her sister and her nephew has followed her.

Seems to me he only Married her for the pub and kicked her and her nephew out as soon as he got his hands on place, that's why he gets nothing in the will it's all left to her nephew

Green Dragon sold by Auction 22/10/1913 tenant at the tome Henry Iveson who paid £75 per year.

So did Richard (the husband) take that over??

I think he has looking at the situations at the time. Also how did you find out about Henry Ives on that was interesting?

Google Green Dragon and it was on there site click on History of the pub.
Also in 1920 a guy called Edmund Blythe built a bandstand at the Green Dragon.

I think I've found the Marriage i'm looking for:

There is a Richard Metcalfe marrying in Sedbergh in 1915 to a Hannah M Bushby

Sedbergh is only 30mins away from Hardraw

After looking for Births, there are 2 girls born in Burnley Lancashire

1916 - Florence Eleanor METCALFE
1920 - Mary Marjorie METCALFE

CASE COMPLETED!

Richard married Hannah Mary BUSHBY in Sedbergh in 1915 with his residence being down as Burnley, Lancashire

Richard and Hannah had 2 daughters:

Florence Eleanor METCALFE: Born 21 Jun 1916 Burnley, Died Jul 1986 Cleveland
Married name: APPLEGARTH

Mary Marjorie METCALFE: Born 25 Sep 1920 Burnley, Died Dec 1996 Preston
Married name: CHARNLEY

Richard Metcalfe died 1956 in West Duham
Hannah Mary Metcalfe died 1959 in South East Durham
