Mark, if it's definitely George Tilley Allsop that you're following then the Goldsmith Allsops are no connection.
George Tilley Allsop was the son of Charles Allsopp and CAROLINE Tilley (all details posted above).

So, Mark, is George Tilly Alsop your ancestor? If so there is no relaionship to Douglas Park Goldsmith who you have called Goldsmith Douglas Park Alsop.

Just had a look at that tree Margee - George's birthplace wanders between Northants and Leicestershire depending what year the census was and how the name fitted, he obviously hopped around the country - another good Ancestry tree ??
Baptism of the wrong George Name: George Tilley Birth Date: Abt 1865 Baptism Date: 23 Apr 1865 Age: 0 Parish: Stanion, Northamptonshire, England Mother: Caroline Tilley Parish as it Appears: Stanion Register Type: Parish Registers

A tree on Ancestry has Goldsmith W. P. Alsop 1898, son of George Tilly Alsop & Harriet Annie Allsopp. It quotes 1911 census, Kings Norton, Worcestershire where he's aged 13. This is the same census that we have where we have proved that his last name was Goldsmith.

From what I can gather by digging around, George Tilley "Allsopp" was actually born George Tilley in 1864 before the marriage in 1866 of his parents George Allsopp and Caroline Tilley.
He's recorded with his parents in 1871, but also appears to be recorded with his maternal grandparents James and Charlotte (although recorded as their son). He is also with James and Charlotte in 1881 when he's correctly recorded as grandson.

Also - OP has Father as George Tilley Alsop - the George we have been following was born in Wymeswold, Leicestershire, but George Tilley Allsopp was born in Stanion, Northamptonshire according to the 1871 posted by Malyon earlier, so why does Mark think he is the Father?
