Yvonne, i am amazed at all the research that you have done for me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have given me so much info. i have extended my Leather family so much. If only i had been able to do the same for my Dads family but unfortunatly they came over from Ireland, but now i have so much more family history than i had. cheers.

Thank you Yvonne, yes i would like you to find them for me please, i was amazed how far back you could go, i think the furthest back so far is Lucy Evans who married John Leather, she was Christened in 1749. My Mum whose maiden name was Lillian Leather said to me when i was a small boy that the leather family came from the Northwich area and that the men all worked on Boats in one way or another, her father James Leather was a Bargee who worked the Canals and rivers of Lancashire / Cheshire and his half brother Joseph was on board a coastal steamer. regards.
