But the detail i saw on google was defibately a john aged 65 and a widower not 75. So though that last one is just as much likely you have given me ...are you able to find the john agrd 65 in 1851. ? Think he may not be living with any duxburys as the person who posted was picking out the Duxbury name i think only. :-S :-) |

Yes ..thats the Thomas Duxbury . Still trying to find father . I spotted a john duxbury living in Blackburn aged 65 and a widower and retired weaver birn in rishton so born in 1786. I don't have full details of this 1851 census but wanted to find out if he was living with someone . The number connected to him was 135 . Film number ? I found it on a google search . Thought perhaps there was a very slim chance it could be Thomas,s father and thought if i found out who this john duxbury was living with it may provide a clue ? |

Where in 'Thread' is reference to Thomas, there are a lot of Baptisms with Father John, don't want to 'repeat' info... |

Can i add this request to this post as it's connected.? I thought I'd ask about john dubury who i can guess as being born in approx 1884- 1895 ish. In rishton and was a weaver. He is the father of Thomas Duxbury born approx 1813-1820 depending on which you believe between census and marriage and death age date. Thomas birn rishton. I know there is a john duxbury age 65 in Blackburn on the 1851 census . He was born in rishton and is a retired weaver and a widower . Please could someone tell me where in Blackburn he was living and who with ..if anyone . |

So this can't be my William dean I guess as he is on the 1901 with ann Taylor. Chucks . Thought it was,a possibility. As,area was right and age nearly. Still ...ibteresting story ...and it obviously put him off living with a woman again . :-S :-D |

Thankyou x still no sign of a birth for him or even any sign of either him or ann Taylor on the 1891 or any of the kids ..well only maybe Ethel and john henry would be on ..john henry would be two or three and Ethel might have just scraped on. I was checking on the 1911 census today and it said poor ann had given birth to 14 children and nine of them had died by 1911 ...sad times as most of them were babies . :-( |

Found the wedding of howarth dean Taylor. In 1933. On it it says grooms father as William howarth dean miner deceased . So he confirms there that William dean was hus dad . Thanks for the clues pointing to that :-) |

Thanks Erica , Chris, DEA ....still scrolling and staring when i should be eating ..very addictive this is....now checking William dean. Found a reference to a William dean wanting a divorce in 1888 8 august in Burnley express but not sure what it says as I can't see it all. The age fits with him ..ish ..34 then ...may or may not be a connection .i can check the newspaper as it may give me sone clues if it is him . But he wasn't living with ann in 1881 so maybe not and still no sign of her on the 1891 census ? :-S :-) |
