Find Ancestors

Looking for the Keefe Family in the 1911 census no trace at all yet they are in the 1891 and 1901 census. Why is this? Living in St. Pancras, William Keefe the father born 1861.
Plus why are there no other census available?

The 1911 Census is the last one to be released.

The next census was taken in 1921, but is subject to the 100 year rule ............... so no information can be released from it until 2021, and it will probably be 2022 before everything has been transcribed

Why do we have to wait a hundred years to see a census? I find the census more helpful than the other registries.
I will go read all the info properly now.

because a law that was passed that promised to keep all the information provided in a census private and confidential for 100 years ...................


which usually means that most people on the census, certainly adults, would be dead

otherwise people would not be honest, and would refuse to answer the questions
