In 1881, this seems to be that 1891 family of Bramleys, with a different husband. Maybe the Ann in 1871 left Thomas, lived with William Pike and changed the children's names, then went back to Thomas before 1891, and changed the children's names back again ??.:

My computer is 'throwing a wobbly' and I can't download the article and I am off to do some shopping just now while it sorts itself out so I have typed out the article below:
CRUELTY TO CHILDREN AT LANGLEY MILL
At Heanor today, William and Mary Bramley of Langley Mill, were chrged with cruelty to their four children, whose ages range from two to ten years. Mr A.J. Hopkins (Chesterfield) prosecuted on behalf of the N.S.P.C.C.
Inspector Hackney stated that he first visited the family in Nook-end Heanor, on September 16th last. The children were then very dirty. Both parents were addicted to drink. Some time after- wards the defendants left Nook-end, and later he found them at Langley Mill. The children were dirty, and there was no food in the house. The father and three children slept in one bed, while the mother and baby slept on a mattress.
Police-inspector Stone corroborated, and the magistrates sentenced each defendant to three months' imprisonment.
from: Nottingham Evening Post 24 April 1911 .....................................
On the census 1911 he is in a police cell at the Constabulary where Inspector Stone and his family were living so he had either been arrested for this or it would seem likely that he was in for being 'drunk'.
The census was taken on the night of 2nd April.

P.S. - I should like to point out that I have copied the article as it was printed so all that bad punctuation is theirs, not mine ;-) :-D

If it is the same one then he and his wife Mary had been charged with cruelty to their 4 children.
Let me know it that fits and if so I will try to send you the newspaper article.
