what seems to be pretty certain is that the child Mary Teresa Moore showing in 1911 is one of these three...allowing for an error on the age given in 1911 |

1911, Mr and Mrs Dulson were living at 38 Newcastle street, no Haucroft name coming up in the census...however a phonetic search on freebmd does show Howcroft as a name which features in the Manchester area...so i will go and look at that. |

I know Mary Teresa Moore was in an Institution after she had a son, taken away at birth so if it is her in 1970 it may only give the name of a road and not the name of the Institution. As for her birth it states unknown .Any way I am hoping it will reveal something, the same as the search from the Leeds RC society . But if no next of kin I will be none the wiser. |

Rose I have just looked again at the Manchester Workhouse and saw Polly Moore as living at what looked like 58 Newcastle Street Hulme but when I went along to the next set of paper work alongside it I magnified it and it states Mr or Mrs Haucroft 38 Newcastle Street Hulme so could re look for me please and see who was living at no 38. I am on Ancestry but you seem to find more out than I can, should I change sites. |

I think John we need to go back to what we definitely know to be fact, and work back from the most recent sightings as it were. |

I have just spotted something, the marriage of Joseph Moore to a Sarah Roberts , then on the post of marriage of Mary Emma Moore to a James Roberts, it looks like Mary and Joseph married a brother and sister. Please have a look at the 1871 census of Joseph and Mary E Moore and look at the name and address of their next door neighbours then see if you can see the Manchester Workhouse and see the address of Polly Moore and who I believe was her next door neighbour in 1871. There must be a connection somewhere |

Yes Rose Mary Teresa was young looking at the records? When she gave birth to her daughter in 1925 on the birth cert states she was a servant in Church St Boston Spa I know there was some sort of a home or Institute there and the home in Leeds where she went to before her daughter was born was RC home for unmarried mothers. She was in there for 3 months after the birth, Unsure when she went to Sheffield and her daughter taken in by my family. I know Mary Teresa was still alive in the 1960's but she had been taken in to an Institution after she had another baby a son and I think I have found a death in 1970 ,still awaiting a death cert to verify if it is her states birth unknown. Feel so sad that if it is our MTM then she was in some sort of home or Institution nearly all her life. Her daughter b 1925 never knew anything about her Mum, she went to America in 1948 |

The family in America know nothing at all about their mothers mother Mary Teresa Moore and are desperate to find out so I have got to be sure. Their mother was taken in by my family and I was always been given to believe she was a member of my family's daughter. I have Moore's in my family from Lincolnshire but I just could not tie their mother in with any of them. Then last month I went out to America and one of the sons asked if I would DNA, it came back 99.9% Not of my family which came as a shock to us all. I am waiting to hear from the Catholic care Home society in Leeds to see if the mother of Mary Theresa Moore is listed on their records. |

There are very few Hiram Moores, and not in that area, so I think perhaps somewhere along the line there is a mistake? |

Rose I don't think the Mary Emma Roberts nee Moore can be the one but how strange that her father was Hiram Moore and a brother Joseph. I an only tying this Polly Moore up with Mary Emma Moore because of having the same address as her next door neighbour in 1871 . Just baffles me. I know Polly is a pet name for Mary |
