I just wonder if Peter is related on Lewis's mother's side but of course it may be co-incidence. There were plenty of McGregors around. Bit of a co-incidence too that Peter's father married a Cruickshank. |

From the age at death of your Lewis, the only Lewis birth posted that fits with the age at date of death is Lewis son of George and Mary McGrigor. |

I don't think that Your Lewis is the son of Alexander. The birth year is wrong and Alexander's Lewis is with him in Scotland in 1851. |

I'm trying to work out if Alexander Cruickshank at Burntown,Knockando, Invernesshire,m to Jean Ross 1832 could be the widower of Isabel Ross, with more children? |

The names continue with Lewis Alexander b 1889 ,,his nephew was John Alexander 1917. If Lewis was Alexander's son (in Cromdale) his brother and grandfather were both John. There is no Donald in the family tree. .?? |

Yes, he was in E Williams in the Canadian census ,and that's their grave stone. I have no proof that he came from Cromdale etc parish or if his parents were Alexander cruickshank and Isabel Ross. However Alexander is a family name. |
