So why wait until 1917 when she had 2 sons Ernest 1911 and Ben 1913. She was obviously still married during these births and husband didn't die until around 1916/17 like some of you have suggested.. ;-) ;-) |

Thanks guys.. I finally purchased the marriage between Joseph Pinder and Laura Ellen Brown. They were married 9 May 1917, Joseph was 32 and Laura 37 a widow. Father was Christopher Wells a tinsmith... :-D |

The only Harriet Brown marriage to Mr Gray is the one I posted...and she is way too young to be John's mother (unless he got married when he was about 10 :-) or she gave birth to him when she was about 10 - sorry being facetious! |

It's on Ancestry, they have the effects of all soldiers died in WW1 - really it's what monies are owed I think in wages and a second payment which looks like compensation. |

10a is the GRO Volume number, representing the district in which the event was registered. The next number is the page within that volume |
