I'm stuck on my great great granddad. I'm unable to find him on 1881 census as a child until he has children of his own and I can find him on 1901 and 1911 census can anyone suggest anything please! |

The initial response is that he has been mistranscibed. Have you checked if he is with his parents or other siblings? |

Another possibility is his mother has married/remarried and he appears under hs step father's name. |
