Hi I'm trying to find the parents of Thomas Branigan,

I know the father was called James Branigan – birth year around 1880
And the mother was called Elizabeth but don’t know her maiden name. - birth year around 1878
On the 1911 census they lived at 12 tullyallen in louth Ireland
It shows they had been married for 5 years on the 1911 census.
All the information above was found on the 1911 census.

I would like to find out what Elizabeth maiden name was and would like to know what James’s parent where called.
If possible i would like to see the on the 1901 census as i cannot find them.

I would appreciate any help, I have been trying to find this info out for a long time to the point that I gave up doing the family tree, but I have got to the point I really need to find out.
I never really knew my Irish side of the family as we lived in London, we live in Ireland now, so I would really like to find out more.
Thank you for any help.
Lorna xx

I was going to buy my grandfather birth cert which in the brother to Patrick, but as i don't know the mother's maiden name i didn't think i would be able to get one.

I know my grandfather's full name, date of birth, his fathers name and address of birth and mother first name just not her maiden name, is it possible to still birth cert without the mother's maiden name.

Gritty now that would make sense 11 Tullyallen, I don't seem to get that up when i search the census, so i don't know what i'm doing wrong.
But that would make a lot of sense,

I can't thank you enough, what's taken me over a year, you how help me out massively in five minutes.
Thank you so so much i really do appreciate it.

That's brilliant, now i see why i couldn't find her i was looking for elizabeth and on the census she is Lizzy, it's the smallest details that can put you back.

Didn't know you could order birth certs with out knowing the mother's maiden name,
still quiet new to this even though i started a few year's back, no wonder i find it so hard.
I can get the birth cert from my local office, so i will get that when i go in to town next.

Gritty you have been a star for helping me out with all of this i can't thank you enough.
you have definitely made my day, thank you so much i really do appreciate it.

You can also buy John's b.cert via:
http://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/Apply-for-Certificates.aspx

A legal certified copy of the GRO(I) register costs €20.
An (uncertified) image of the GRO(I) register costs €4.

NB It's no longer called GRO(I), but I forget what it's called now.

Given you are familiar with the Cemetery you shouldn't have much difficulty finding the plot it is a double one...looks well tended( when the photo was taken)....and there are some specific pointers eg that strange shaped tree!!
