Hi I have been going through my GR tree to find out more about the Puncher family and have come across a Puncher in this tree as follows:

John Osband Ott b 1801 Bermondsey London married Anne Desmoulins b. 1804 St Giles Middlesex and they had 11 children to whom one was Sarah Elizabeth Ott b.1830 Rotherhithe and she married Benjamin Acton Wood b.1833 Bermondsey and they had 5 children to whom one was Martha Elizabeth Acton Wood b.1865 Rotherhithe and she married David Peggs b.1855 Chelmsford Essex and had 8 children to one was Alfred Daniel Peggs b.1889 Rotherhithe and he married Lillian Ivy V PUNCHER B.1890 Upton Park Essex and they had 2 girls and 1 boy. I always had agt the back of my mind that Lillian Puncher was related to me as well as the others but I still cannot find any connection with Cyril Frederick Puncher b.1903 Poplar London and his father who was Walter Charles Puncher b.1874 Poplar London.

As you have not said who these punchers are that are in your tree, it makes it almost impossible to find out if there is any connection with this family

Thank you for your help regarding the Puncher family. The strange thing is that I did have some Punchers in my tree which I had put down a few years ago. However it only came to my mind that I had a friend called Norma I Puncher b.1935 Maldon Essex and her father was Cyril Frederick Puncher b.1903 Bow (Poplar) London and mother was Clarice E Leighton b. 1911 West Ham London or Essex. They were married in 1934 Wandsworth but did move to Hitchin Hertfordshire where I was also brought up. I have mentioned this to Norma but she does not seem to know much about the ancestors. What I am trying to find out if there are any connections between Cyril Frederick Puncher and the other Puncher's I have in my tree as so far I cannot find any and it would be great if we were related Norma and myself. I have noticed that a few of the Puncher's come from Essex or East London Bow, Poplar and Stepney. It does appear that I am related to the Puncher's that I have on my tree so that is what I am trying to find out about Cyril Frederick Puncher b.1903 and his parents were Walter Charles Puncher b.1874 Poplar London and his wife was Elizabeth Emma Bruce b.1876 Poplar London and they were married 1901 J/F/M Hackney London. I believe Walter's father was James John Puncher b.1847 London and mother was Sarah M Staples b. abt 1847 London and were married J/F/M 1867 Shoreditch London.
