I agree Dea that Frederick isn't mine. There were so many born around the same years. Cheryl |

The birth date on his christening to parents John and Ann was 14th April 1874 and the death cert gives 14th April 1873. This often happens where the informant knows when the birthday was celebrated but was often not quite sure of the birth year. |

I don't know if that cemetery is a churchyard, or a municioal one. Most municipal cemeteries have some unconsecrated graves - I mean, if you're a jew or a methodist or whatever, it's a bit insulting to be told your only choice of graves is one that's been blessed by the CofE, or else one that's been blessed by the RCs. |

"unconsecrated ground" means ground that has not been consecrated, ie, blessed by a minister of religion .......... that usually means consecrated by an Anglican minister or a Roman Catholic priest. |

Forgive me but what does unconsecrated ground mean. I just googled St. Columb Major cemetary but they dont seem to have a search for burial on it. |
