You could try Cornwall Records Office to see what records they hold. |

Following on from this family, brother Thomas Steel Thornborrow married Jane Hall (c1867) in 1896, Preston. He died in 1899, only 1 child I can see on Lancs bmd - John 1897, reg Preston sub district Broughton. Jane appears to be a widow in 1911 a domestic servant. |

Just to confirm I think we have the right family, Ada daughter of Edith and born 1893. When Ediths sister died, probate was granted to Ada Bickle (wife of William Bickle); |

If the Ada Bickle/Davies is the correct one, I thing whoever registered this death got her age a year out: |

Good spot Andy, it would make Stephen a similar age to Ada (if the 1893 Ada is correct), he was 69 when he died. |

Maybe they got divorced, there's no death for Ada that I can see - but there is a marriage on the Wirrall for Ada Bickle to a Davies (1959). She had connections to Chester area as that is where her daughter was born. |

She was on Ers at 123 Lillinton street as Ada Bickles until 1959, but as Gritty has posted was not there in 1960 onwards. |

In 1960 Ada's no longer registered at Lillington Street- which might suggest a move or her poosible death between 56-60? |

In 1955/6 Ada is still at Lillington Street but has no William with her. Others in household: |

So who was the Doris Thornborrow living with Ada/William Bickle 1950/52/53 - could this be her daughter? Also with them in 1949, recorded as a service voter. |
