Goodness, being out of the country with the Armed Forces would never have entered my mind. Lateral thinking obviously isn't my thing ! I'll have a dig around too re the India scenario. Thanks for the idea. |

Familysearch have the 1911 overseas census military records - and I'm not seeing him anywhere, let alone the two locations supplied by Jude. |

All I can say is a tremendous thank you to all who have tried their best to find this houdini of a man. I think I will have to accept that he has either disappeared into thin air or failed to be recorded on the census for one reason or another. He was a miner so could have been 'down the mine' at the time of the census and the folk he was living with just didn't include him on their return. Anything is possible. Thanks again everyone. |
