In 1911 Augusta's birth year is given as 1878

You know, Chris, you may have hit the spot

There are births after 1911 for Wells with MMN Last, and no marriage for Augusta M Last.

Also, Jeff gave incorrect birth year in 1911, so perhaps the same applies to her

NB See the last child's name, and compare with baptism of Augusta

Reading the images of the army service records posted, Jeff Wells was in South Africa 1900 to 1902 which will probably account for him not being on the 1901 census.

He was discharged from the army January 1911. There are no marriage details on his service records.

Any idea of Nellie Last (Sister) on 1911, born Whepstead?...
