From http://trove.nla.gov.au There is also a photo of him. I wonder if this is how he died?
Black trackers have commenced a search in the Claremont area for Mr. Augustus Tomlinson (55), who left his home at 50 Loch street, on Friday. Mr. Tomlinson, who is a carpenter at the Claremont Hospital for the Insane, has been ill for some years, suffering from the effects of war ser vice. On Friday he left his bed for the first time for 10 days. His wife and daughter were ab sent from their home between 2 and 7 p.m., and when they returned found that he was missing. Mr. Tomlinson is described as 5ft. 7 in. in height, thick set, having gyey hair and a plump face. When he left his home he was wearing a navy blue suit, sports shirt, grey felt hat, black shoes and dark socks. ? -
Oh what a shame.
