Edit: Scratch this one. I got my Welland and Wellington mixed up. Senior moment, you know! |

Oops! Another one in 1972, more likely yours. She's with Wendy Oliver, librarian at 86 Ottawa Crescent. |

Thanks so much for this Margee, I really appreciate you taking the time. The Welland one is definitely not mine but the other 1972 is. |

Would there be a reference to a death for Harold Oliver in 1974 or 1975, possibly in the London area (Ontario). |

I've searched high & low for a death for Harold with no luck. I've used both names Harold and Marshall, even tried the Last Post section of the Legion Magazine where deaths of former soldiers are listed. |

Good morning. Thanks for looking ... it's definitely a mystery. We have nothing to go on except say so. He's got to be somewhere but I have to admit it's got me beat. I'll keep looking though, something may turn up. |

In trying to find more info on Harold Marshall Oliver, I looked at the US census to see if I could find his family. In the 1930 US census I found an H. M. Oliver with parents Harry H. Oliver and Anna Oliver, and siblings. It gives his father born in Canada and his mother born in Yugoslavia. Assuming this is the correct family I looked at the 1940 census and found his parents and one of his siblings but no Harold. I suspect he was overseas as we know he was in the Canadian military during the war and met and married his wife in England. I then looked at the 1920 census to see if Harold's parents were in the USA but the only Harry Oliver I could find was married to a Myrtle (born in Michigan). It gives Harry born in Canada, with same occupation and living with them are two of the children shown in the 1930 census. If this is the correct family and not just a big coincidence, what happened to Myrtle and when did Anna come into the picture. |

Thanks Margee, I guess this is not my Harold. His wife was Violet and I have them on other voter's lists but he left the family and I was hoping to find him and where he died. |
