I have submitted the alternative spelling to ancestry, but am unable to work out what the names are. However, I do not think the witness name - which could be Barber - is the same as the crossed-out name. Which could even be Birthday or many other names, it does appear to have an extra twizzle. |

Daffen could be in the mother's 'history' |

Witness surname looks like Barber to me. Sorry ca't make out the name crossed out after Pheby and before Jackson. |

My gt.gt. grandparents Phoebe Caroline ? and Richard Brigden married on 29nd August, 1822, at St. Marys, Lambeth. When she signed the register Phoebe wrote another name before the Jackson and then crossed this out. What was this name? Could it have been the same as the first witness Robt. B......... also can anyone read the name of the second witness? |
