Find Ancestors

Ann Davidson was born 1815 Farnell Angus Scotland.
She married Donald Monro 1838 in Farnell Angus.
They had a son John Davidson Monro b. 1839 Kirkden Angus.

I am looking for Ann's death. I think that her husband Donald
died in 1941 in Kinnell Angus.

I cannot find her in the 1841 Scotch census... Tried Scotlandspeople and
Ancestry.

Just to make things more interesting she had a nephew William Davidson b.
1846 St. Vigeans Angus that fathered a child Charles Davidson Strachan
in 1873 in Glass Aberdeen. The mother of Charles was Jessie Strachan.
She was born in 1846 Glass and died in 1929 Glass Aberdeen. No signs
of William... rumour has it he disappeared...
If anyone can find anything it will be the Genes sleuthers... Thank you in
advance for any advice.

I have Donald Munro dying 6 May 1841

So he won't be on the census, which wasn't taken until June

Is it possible that Ann remarried ?

I have DonaldMonroe born 1810 Farnell Angus...

I guess Ann could have remarried.. but I did not find anything when I looked.

The problem is you are searching for fairly common surnames. Are you aware that female deaths in Scotland (after 1855) are indexed under married and maiden surnames? So, for example if the informant of Ann's death gave her father's surname and stated that she was widow of Donald Munro and married to or widow of someone else all three surnames would be on the index.
