in 1911 census there are 2 james wills one born 1904 in poplar bow london reg.district 22 sub district 1 and the other born james alfred wills 1905 same sub district and reg district and born lamprell street is this the same person? and how can i be sure which one is my relative? or has it just been duplicated. and also to find the correct death?

Do you know the parents names for the one you want .

Also bear in mind when he was born ie if his birth is after about March of the year then he will be shown as one year younger on the census .ie the ages quoted are as at the last birthday so someone who hasn't had their birthday yet for 1911 will show the age that they were at their birthday in 1910

As he is with two different sets of parents on the census records then he can't be the same person.

just checking my records i applied for birth cert under ref 1c 527 and was told this was incorrect on GRO index for james wills. it is a bit confusing when reginald cushway was registered and later married under the name of wills?and my reginald birth date was dec but probably registed in the next quarter? i applied for james alfred birth cert which received but wrong parents as was pointed out already.so do i look for james cushway or james wills? do not know which way to go now? :-)

No Reginald was Wills his mmn was Cushway as per the birth reg posted by Reggie above

he is another sibling to James and was born after the 1911 census .
