Herbert E Baynes born 1888, married Gertrude M Fergusson, also b 1888 in the March Qtr of 1911 in Edmonton. Both were also born in Edmonton. I can't find them in the 1911 Census. Any help gratefully received. Bob |

What was Herbert's occupation? |

Looking on the 1901 census I see Herbert's mother was French and his sister was born there, could they have gone straight off to visit relatives? |

Thanks for your efforts, and Mike, yes it was some family. F M Fergusson was Florence Maud, my grandmother. She died in 1984 just short of her 94th birthday. She was a lovely lady and I miss her still. I have a wonderful photo, taken in about 1900, of my Gt Gt grandmother, surrounded by her daughter and son-in-law, and all 14 of their children. All the Fergusson children reached adulthood, and most of them reached a ripe old age. Please keep digging everybody. Bob |

It's amazing the information you can find with a computer ain't it? Blanche was born Blanche Chaudessolle. She was 19 years old at the time of the marriage, which took place 23rd October 1884 at the Church of St. Thomas, Bethnal green. Her father was Eugene Chaudessolle. I wonder if they went to live in France. Bob |
