I have tried to pm you images of the 1854 marriage for John Roach and 1903 for John (Anthony) Roach.

The marriage image on the new record of John Roach to Elizabeth White showed him to be a drummer with the 6th Regiment.

I'll try looking at images of possible Roach baptisms to see if I can check occupation of the father as you think he may be your man.

DUH! I was wrong. Edith Grace died of 'fever', Edith Winifred died of 'anaemia caused by malaria'.. Described as infant daur, and wife of J A Roach Station master Dornakal respectively.

Now I have to put it all into the tree. My side is just as bad as my side of the family in the 1800's bred like flies on one tree I have more leads that people.
Edward Tully is the right one according to the wife but she says that there are still two to find:-
1 Willomena Tully aka Aunty Willo married a guy with surname Howard.
2 James Tully .
3 Mary Philomena aka Aunty Philly besames an Edwards.
