The names Glitterbaby gives from administration of the estate match births to the Biggs marriage ...
Wise to give the information one has rather than say what information one does not have when asking for help! :-D
He likely went by Frederick to distinguish him from his father.
I would say this is him in 1911.
Name: Frederick Lester Age in 1911: 14 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1897 Relation to Head: Grandchild Birth Place: Leyton, Essex, England Civil Parish: St Pancras County/Island: London Street Address: 2 Hargrave Place, Brecknock Road Occupation: ERRAND BOY Registration District: St Pancras
Adelaide Daniels 68 widow housekeeper Frederick Lester 14 grandchild George Lester 9 grandchild visitor
It seems like his mother Adelaide Daniels was named for her mother.
it appears that Adelaide the grandmother, above with the grandsons, is the housekeeper for this household at the same address John Armes 67 Thomas Armes 64 as she was in 1901.

his mother in 1881
Name: Adelaide Daniels Age: 6 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1875 Relationship to Head: Daughter Father: George Daniels Mother: Adelaide Daniels Where born: Leyton, Essex, England Civil Parish: St Mary Layton
which pretty much has to make her this one in 1901 in spite of the husband's name being off!
Name: Adelade Lester Age: 28 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1873 Relation to Head: Wife Gender: Female Spouse: George Lester Birth Place: Leyton, Essex, England Civil Parish: Mile End Old Town County/Island: London

That is hard to follow ... but at the end it shows Adelaide Daniels Lester in 1911 with daughters Florrie and Rosie.
So that leaves James Frederick himself being the 'Frederick' in the household with his maternal grandmother Adelaide Daniels as I posted above. :-)
Who knows why father James was called George in 1901 ... maybe he was James George and called George (he had a son George seen in the 1911) as son James Frederick was called Frederick.
The information for father James in that tree
1901 Age: 29 4 Cadiz Street Mile End Old Town Polisher
matches the 1901 census info I posted for George Lester at 4 Cadiz St, so there we are!
this seems to be him with parents in 1891 per Ancestry, he and his father both cabinet makers
Name: James Lester Age: 19 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1872 Relation: Son Father's Name: James Lester Mother's Name: Susan Lester Where born: Islington Civil Parish: Bethnal Green
so maybe he was called George to distinguish him from his father too :-)

thankyou for all your help, having never posted before on this site was not really sure what I should have put, however just to clarify things
My grandfather was Frederick James Lester born 01 01 1916, on his birth certificate, I have been told, he has father as James Frederick Lester and mother Dorothy Louis Biggs, so looking at the information I had I tried to work backwards but couldn't definitely match him to any previous generations that came before I did have the details of James and Adelaide and have now linked them.
Once again thankyou

If he was still wanting to call himself George I wonder whether this was him
MILITARY LISTER GEORGE 1873 38 Andover Hampshire
I don't pay for details at the 1911census site and I can't find that person at Ancestry so far to see details.
edit, looks like not
Name: George Lister Age in 1911: 38 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1873 > Birth Place: Bradford, Yorkshire, England Civil Parish: South Tidworth County/Island: Hampshire Street Address: Candahar Military Barracks, Candahar Barracks, South Tedworth, Hants Marital Status: Married Occupation: Soldier Military Unit: 2nd Battalion Duke Of Wellington's Regiment Registration District: Andover
The info that Maddie quoted says this about Adelaide Daniels Lester
Address 1911 Age: 38 32 Cumberland St with Florrie 5 and Rosie13
but ...............
this is the household at 32 Cumberland St, Islington
Richard Lester 44 (abt 1867), horsekeeper, born Richmond Surrey Adelaide Lester 31 (not 38, very clear) born Essex Rosie Lester 13 Florrie Lester 5
however ... it says married 18 years, 5 children born, 5 living ... and that would likely fit Adelaide Daniels Lester. And there is no Richard Lester marriage to an Adelaide. And I can't see a birth to fit him.
Did Adelaide change partners regularly and give them all her surname? :-)
A Richard Henry Lester did marry in Bethnal Green in 1892, but not to an Adelaide.
There is no death or remarriage that fits Adelaide Lester after 1911.
I have seen cases in censuses of a household composed of a married woman and her children living with her new partner and the partner is recorded under their surname. I wonder whether this was the case, and possibly even in 1901 as well.

just to throw a spanner in the works there is this 1911 census LESTER, James Head Married M 41 1870 Cabinet Maker Islington London VIEW LESTER, Sarah Ann Wife Married16 years F 48 1863 Hackney London VIEW LESTER, Caroline Daughter F 13 1898 School Bethnal Green London VIEW

if the tree on ancestry is correct he was legally separated from Adelaide in 1902
I'm probably barking up the wrong tree
the George in 1911 posted by JoonieCloonie was in the Duke of Welliington Regiment 2nd battalion, so probably not him

On the 25th April 1902 and for the12 months prior, James was residing at 398 Hackney Rd, Bethnal Green, according to WW1 records
He states NO children under the age of 14yrs !!!!
His father James lives at 28 Meadows Dwellings, Bethnal Green
