There are too many Arthur Hallams to be able to pinpoint which one he is without knowing when or where he was born and who his father was.

Maybe if your friend has a death date, the age on the index would help

Does he know when and where Edith died? And her surname at the time...............

my friend never knew her , so i cant answer who regersterd the death, i do know she and arther had 2 sons one called david and one call yes another arthur, lol,,

the marriage was correct , but not the rest the latest is that Edith was born in london and we have a birth date for october 29 1904,, she married Arthur Hallam in london in 1929,, she died in 1980 in southend on see essex , so i am thinking that the previous search on here was not the person who wed my friends grandad any further help would be great
