I am researching for a Andrew Lincoln Davidson, I would have thought been born around 1887, Scotland, I think Cromarty, his occ. was a labourer. and had a son Walter Andrew Davidson b. 1923 Cromarty.

Reason being why I said it was the wrong board because of a post I received. The reason I am asking is because of my outreach work and being a digital mentor at Mexborough, south Yorks. three people have asked me to help them do there family tree I am stuck with Andrew Lincoln Davidson so I thought I could put a post on here for some help.

Linda, a quarter of my ancestors are Scottish. So I tend to buy a batch of credits per month and will always use a spare credit or two where I can. And in reality, it's not so different to anyone using subs to this and other sites to help researchers who don't have the same access.

The most important thing for me, as is the case here, is that the poster says "thank you".

The moment any poster takes all the help for granted and does not offer their thanks is the moment I stop posting!

I'll try and format this extract from it:

(This must refer to the census he's been found on)

No mention of a son Andrew but they may have only taken it as recent as the 1881 census.
